LANDES · FRANCE
The best two months in Europe, and eleven weeks of everything else.
Scored against your own preferences, with every reason named. Where we do not know enough, we say so instead of putting a number on a guess.
Platform-verified facts about each wave, not the camp's marketing. Hazards are stated plainly.
The Gouf de Capbreton drives swell straight into these sandbanks, which is why September and October in Hossegor are as good as beach-break surfing gets — and also why the place is not a beginner destination. La Gravière is a heavy, square, close-out-prone barrel and people get hurt there every autumn. We have a mellower bank ten minutes north for the days it is too much, and we will put you on it without a discussion.

For surfers who want somewhere to sleep, somewhere to rinse a wetsuit and a lift to the beach when the van is going anyway. Breakfast is included; nothing else is.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
WHAT IS NOT
Fixed departure
A fixed Saturday-to-Saturday week with one group and one coach.
on top of the room
One group, one coach, seven nights, Saturday to Saturday. The week is structured: theory on day one, video on days three and five, a dawn patrol on the best forecast day and a rest morning after it. Numbers are capped by what one coach can safely watch in the water, not by how many beds we have.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
WHAT IS NOT
Flexible stay
Bed, breakfast and two coached sessions a day. Arrive any day.
on top of the room
Two guided sessions a day with a coach in the water, video review on the days it is worth reviewing, and a forecast briefing every morning. Arrive on any day and stay as long as you like — the schedule works around whoever is here.

ARRIVING AND LEAVING
15:00 → 10:30
Check in from 15:00, out by 10:30, local time at the camp (Europe/Paris). Every deadline we quote you — cancellation included — is in that zone, not yours.
PAID AT THE PROPERTY
€1.65person, per night
Taxe de séjour, per guest per night. We never charge it and never refund it — you pay the camp in cash on arrival. It is not in the total you see in the panel.
WHO CAN STAY
18+ only
Surfcamps.World does not book under-18s, anywhere, in this version. Every person on a booking confirms their age before the dates are held — not after you have paid.
TAX ON THE STAY
10%
Accommodation tax, charged on the room and any package. It is already inside the total in the booking panel — no surprise at the desk.
WHAT WE HAVE CHECKED
We verify these ourselves. Anything not listed here, we have not checked.
STAYS BOOKED THROUGH US
3
Completed stays, counted by us rather than reported by the camp.
These are the exact terms our refund engine computes against — not a summary of them.

TOO FEW TO AVERAGE
One surfer has reviewed this camp. We do not publish an average until three people have, because two opinions dressed as a score is not a rating. Read them below and judge for yourself.

EXPERT · 6 NIGHTS IN JUNE
Honest place. The forecast briefing every morning was the most useful part — I finally understand why a spot works on one tide and not the other. The waves were smaller than I hoped for the week I picked, which is nobody's fault, and they moved us to the sheltered break rather than pretend.
PUBLISHED 13 JUN 2026
Reviews are written by surfers who completed a booking here, published after both sides have had their say, and never edited by the camp.

We will not put a percentage on a guess. A match score is only worth reading when it is built on what you actually want — your level, the waves you like, what you are going for.
It takes about two minutes, and it changes every camp you see from then on.
