DOMINICAN NORTH COAST · DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Warm water, a reef with three take-off zones, and wind after lunch.

18+ onlyScored against your own preferences, with every reason named. Where we do not know enough, we say so instead of putting a number on a guess.
Platform-verified facts about each wave, not the camp's marketing. Hazards are stated plainly.
Encuentro has four peaks along a few hundred metres of reef, which means a beginner zone, an intermediate zone and a proper right-hander can all be running at once. Mornings are glassy; the trade wind arrives most afternoons around one and the surf town turns into a kite town. December to March is the swell season — June to August is often genuinely flat and we would rather you knew that before booking.

ARRIVING AND LEAVING
15:00 → 10:30
Check in from 15:00, out by 10:30, local time at the camp (America/Santo Domingo). Every deadline we quote you — cancellation included — is in that zone, not yours.
PAID AT THE PROPERTY
Nothing
No tourist levy at this property. What you pay online is what the stay costs.
WHO CAN STAY
18+ only
Surfcamps.World does not book under-18s, anywhere, in this version. Every person on a booking confirms their age before the dates are held — not after you have paid.
TAX ON THE STAY
18%
Accommodation tax, charged on the room and any package. It is already inside the total in the booking panel — no surprise at the desk.
WHAT WE HAVE CHECKED
We verify these ourselves. Anything not listed here, we have not checked.
STAYS BOOKED THROUGH US

INTERMEDIATE · 6 NIGHTS IN JUNE
Great week, genuinely. The only thing I would change is the transfer timing — leaving at 6am every day is a lot by day five and I would have liked one slow morning built into the schedule. Everything else was exactly as described on the listing.

THE CAMP REPLIED
Thanks for writing this up, and for being specific — the 6am van is a fair hit. We have moved to one late start a week from this season, on whichever morning the forecast is worst. Come back and hold us to it.

ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE · 6 NIGHTS IN JUNE
I came off the back of a bad trip somewhere else and this reset it. Small groups, no ego in the water, and they were completely straight with me about which break I should and should not be paddling out at. Food was better than it needed to be.

YOUR FIT · JULY
We will not put a percentage on a guess. A match score is only worth reading when it is built on what you actually want — your level, the waves you like, what you are going for.
It takes about two minutes, and it changes every camp you see from then on.

WHEN NOT TO COME
July drops to 19% rideable days; June drops to 22% rideable days; August drops to 24% rideable days. If those are the only weeks you can travel, book somewhere else — we would rather lose the booking than sell you a flat week.
