RAGLAN & WAIKATO · NEW ZEALAND
Three left points in a row and a paddock to park the van in.
3 breaks, from Manu Bay

From $115.92 a night
18+ onlyScored against your own preferences, with every reason named. Where we do not know enough, we say so instead of putting a number on a guess.
Platform-verified facts about each wave, not the camp's marketing. Hazards are stated plainly.
Manu Bay and Whale Bay are long, mechanical left points over boulders — the sort of wave that teaches you to actually use rail. The catch is the paddle out and the current, both of which take some getting used to. Ngarunui, the beach at the river mouth, is where we start everyone. New Zealand winter, April to September, is when the southwest swell shows up and the easterly holds it open.

ARRIVING AND LEAVING
15:00 → 10:30
Check in from 15:00, out by 10:30, local time at the camp (Pacific/Auckland). Every deadline we quote you — cancellation included — is in that zone, not yours.
PAID AT THE PROPERTY
Nothing
No tourist levy at this property. What you pay online is what the stay costs.
WHO CAN STAY
18+ only
Surfcamps.World does not book under-18s, anywhere, in this version. Every person on a booking confirms their age before the dates are held — not after you have paid.
TAX ON THE STAY
15%
Accommodation tax, charged on the room and any package. It is already inside the total in the booking panel — no surprise at the desk.
WHAT WE HAVE CHECKED
We verify these ourselves. Anything not listed here, we have not checked.
STAYS BOOKED THROUGH US
4
Completed stays, counted by us rather than reported by the camp.
These are the exact terms our refund engine computes against — not a summary of them.

TOO FEW TO AVERAGE
One surfer has reviewed this camp. We do not publish an average until three people have, because two opinions dressed as a score is not a rating. Read them below and judge for yourself.

ADVANCED · 6 NIGHTS IN JUNE
The coaching was the reason I booked and it delivered. Two sessions a day, video twice, and a coach who told me plainly that my back foot was in the wrong place for three years. Room was basic and the walls are thin, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Reviews are written by surfers who completed a booking here, published after both sides have had their say, and never edited by the camp.

YOUR FIT · AUGUST
We will not put a percentage on a guess. A match score is only worth reading when it is built on what you actually want — your level, the waves you like, what you are going for.
It takes about two minutes, and it changes every camp you see from then on.
