CLAYOQUOT SOUND · CANADA
Cold, consistent, rarely crowded. A 5/4 and boots are on the packing list.
Scored against your own preferences, with every reason named. Where we do not know enough, we say so instead of putting a number on a guess.
Platform-verified facts about each wave, not the camp's marketing. Hazards are stated plainly.
Tofino has swell nearly every day of the year and almost nobody in the water outside July. The trade is temperature: the sea sits between 8 and 14 degrees, so we hire 5/4s with hoods and boots as standard and the sauna runs from four o'clock. Cox Bay picks up the most swell, Chesterman is the gentler option, and Long Beach is where you go to be alone. Winter is biggest and coldest and, if you can stand it, the best.

Room rate only
on top of the room
For surfers who want somewhere to sleep, somewhere to rinse a wetsuit and a lift to the beach when the van is going anyway. Breakfast is included; nothing else is.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
WHAT IS NOT
Fixed departure
A fixed Saturday-to-Saturday week with one group and one coach.
on top of the room
One group, one coach, seven nights, Saturday to Saturday. The week is structured: theory on day one, video on days three and five, a dawn patrol on the best forecast day and a rest morning after it. Numbers are capped by what one coach can safely watch in the water, not by how many beds we have.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
WHAT IS NOT
Flexible stay
Bed, breakfast and two coached sessions a day. Arrive any day.
on top of the room
Two guided sessions a day with a coach in the water, video review on the days it is worth reviewing, and a forecast briefing every morning. Arrive on any day and stay as long as you like — the schedule works around whoever is here.

ARRIVING AND LEAVING
15:00 → 10:30
Check in from 15:00, out by 10:30, local time at the camp (America/Vancouver). Every deadline we quote you — cancellation included — is in that zone, not yours.
PAID AT THE PROPERTY
Nothing
No tourist levy at this property. What you pay online is what the stay costs.
WHO CAN STAY
18+ only
Surfcamps.World does not book under-18s, anywhere, in this version. Every person on a booking confirms their age before the dates are held — not after you have paid.
TAX ON THE STAY
12%
Accommodation tax, charged on the room and any package. It is already inside the total in the booking panel — no surprise at the desk.
WHAT WE HAVE CHECKED
We verify these ourselves. Anything not listed here, we have not checked.
STAYS BOOKED THROUGH US
3
Completed stays, counted by us rather than reported by the camp.
These are the exact terms our refund engine computes against — not a summary of them.

TOO FEW TO AVERAGE
One surfer has reviewed this camp. We do not publish an average until three people have, because two opinions dressed as a score is not a rating. Read them below and judge for yourself.

ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE · 6 NIGHTS IN MAY
Booked the fixed week and it was worth the extra over the flexible option: one group, one coach, and everyone at roughly the same level so nobody was waiting around. The wave out front is not a beginner wave and the listing says so — believe it.
PUBLISHED 10 JUN 2026
Reviews are written by surfers who completed a booking here, published after both sides have had their say, and never edited by the camp.

We will not put a percentage on a guess. A match score is only worth reading when it is built on what you actually want — your level, the waves you like, what you are going for.
It takes about two minutes, and it changes every camp you see from then on.
